Tuscany, View from Cortona

Oil, 10 x 8. I spent three days in Cortona, the mountainside village made famous by Frances Mayes in her book, Under the Tuscan Sun. This April painting was done from the village wall before the morning mist cleared. I had beautiful weather there, and every day in that tiny, ancient town was magical.
